  • Festival of Trees Art Awards

The Art Department would like to congratulate all the art students who have pieces in this year’s Festival of Trees art show. A special congratulations goes out to Lauren Pearson who won second place in photography and a huge congratulations goes out to Branden Leon for winning best in show with his sculpture entitled Peter Rabbit.  This year there were around 17 schools who participated with each school entering multiple pieces.  Branden’s sculpture was selected as the top piece out of hundreds of works in both 2D and 3D! With this award Branden will have his own window display coming this April during our end of the year art show located at Quad City Arts. You can see these beautiful works of art during the festival of trees that runs from November 16th-26th located at the River Center downtown. Great job Central artists!!!
