    Jada Baker

    Jada is the daughter of Avita Hicks and Jason Baker. Jada has participated in basketball and track for four years. She was involved in cheer for two years and volleyball for one year. Jada has also been an honor roll student for three years, DC Leadership team for two years, Women’s Choir and Concert Orchestra. Outside of school, Jada loves to hang out with her family and friends. She works at Footlocker and Hollister and attends Progressive Baptist Church. In the fall Jada plans on going to Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, to become a dentist.

    Rashelle Branch


    Rashelle is the daughter of Michelle Westerfield and Rashelle Branch. Rashelle has been a class representative all four years. She has also been a member of the track team, dance team, and basketball team. Outside of school Rashelle enjoys working at Thiessen’s and Hollister. When she is not working, she loves watching Hulu or Netflix. Rashelle plans to go to college and major in nursing and become a travelling nurse.

    Maria Duran Sanchez

    Maria is the daughter of Maria and Jose Duran. Maria is the Senior Class President. She is also a member of Student Council; she is the leader and founder of Latinos Unidos, leader of Shades for Success, and is a part of Girls Learn International. After high school, Maria will be attending Iowa State University or Full Sail University for Written Communication or Education.

    Grace Estes


    Grace is the daughter of Jim and Melissa Estes. While at Central, Grace has been involved with soccer, track, Girls Learn International, Environmental Club, and National Honor Society. Outside of school, Grace enjoys going kayaking, hiking, playing the ukulele with her grandfather, playing hide and seek with her dog, going on road trips, and volunteering at the Humane Society. Coming into high school, Grace had the goal to be the best version of herself each day and to show kindness to everyone she met! In the fall Grace is still undecided where she will be attending, but plans on playing collegiate rugby at either Iowa, Yale, or Dartmouth. She plans on studying Pediatrics or Environmental Engineering.

    Kara Jakubsen

    Kara is the daughter of Lena Marxen. She is a very involved senior class officer. As an athlete, Kara began her Blue Devil experience in volleyball, playing varsity her freshman-junior (Captain) years.  She has also been a member of the track team (Captain), qualifying for State both her freshman and sophomore years.   In addition to being a member of Central’s track team, Kara is also a member of the Mississippi Valley Track Club and has even qualified for the Junior Olympics. When not competing as a Blue Devil athlete, Kara tries to attend as many sporting events as she possibly can. She is also very proud of her active role in Girls Learn International. Outside of school she loves to run, be with friends, and play with her dogs. After high school, Kara plans on joining the Air Force to pilot airplanes and jets. She also plans to attend the University of Wyoming.

    Sophie Lamantia


    Sophie is the daughter of Roland and Missy Lamantia. Sophie has been involved in student council, yearbook, golf, and Quill and Scroll. Outside of school, Sophie works at Tropical Snow. When she is not working or at school, Sophie likes to hang out with friends and family. Sophie wants to attend St. Ambrose University and major in Communications.

    Audrey Moon

    Audrey is the daughter of Whitney and Jennifer Moon. Audrey is a four-year varsity athlete on the swim team and tennis team. Audrey also participates in show choir, orchestra, All-State Choir, National Honor Society Board Member, Our City Movement, DC Leadership Team, and is a senior class officer. After high school, Audrey plans on attending a four-year college to earn a degree in either Chemistry or Engineering. Audrey is undecided on which university she will be attending, but is looking into Iowa State, St. Olaf, and Purdue University.
    Madison Rushton

    Madison is the daughter of John and Jennifer Rushton. Madison is involved in track and field and tennis. Outside of school, Madison works at Stepping Stones and is a lifeguard. Madison plans on attending the University of Iowa for two years and transferring to Tulane or Chapel Hill to become a Marine Biologist.

    Haley Simpson

    Haley is the daughter of Janie Boyle and Marty Simpson. Haley is a member of the soccer team, yearbook, Latino Unidos Club, Environmental Club, golf team, cross country team, and Quill and Scroll. Outside of school, Haley works at Jimmy Johns and likes to hang out with friends and family. Haley plans to attend the University of Iowa or Iowa State University and is undecided on her major.
    Yana Young

    Yana is the daughter of Svetlana and Tim Young. Yana is involved in choir, orchestra, show choir, Drama Club, Thespian Charter, volleyball team, and is a National Honor Society board member. Recently Yana completed her CNA courses and plans to work at Genesis East after she completes her state testing. After high school, Yana plans to go Pre-Med at the University of Iowa after she trains in the National Guard to become a Combat Medic.
