The Creative Arts Academy boasts great success the end of September!
The Creative Arts Academy Revue on September 25th, featuring student artwork and performances, was met with lots of enthusiasm with around 150 people in attendance. The unique event was located under the fly and rigging lofts of the Adler Theatre and displayed the great success our school has had so far and the amount of support we have as we continue to grow our school! Special thanks go to Genesis, BLDD Architects, Alcoa, Estes, Legat Architects, Russell, Triumph Community Bank, Cori and Art Tate, and Ray German and Clara Littig for sponsoring the event and making it such a great success!
The first Film Makers Workshop, presented by the Creative Arts Academy in collaboration with the Davenport Public Library, was filled to capacity on Saturday, September 26th. Students in attendance at the workshop enjoyed discussions with professionals from Fourth Wall Films, Grasshorse Animation, Motion Picture Midwest, critics from the Quad Cities, and Creative Arts Academy teachers. Many different films were screened as part of the event, including animations from Grasshorse, “Letters Home to Hero Street,” “Sugar,” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
The Creative Arts Academy looks forward to hosting future events and workshops in all areas we offer (Communication & Media Arts, Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts) in the future!
