Formerly a Communication and Media Arts student with the Academy, Klipsch fell in love with dance and made the change to a Dance Concentration. But that doesn’t stop Klipsch from also taking a music elective as he learns the guitar! Last year, Klipsch won the “Ida Kramer Children of the Holocaust Essay Contest” hosted by The Jewish Federation and sponsored by the Yom Hashoah Committee and the Holocaust Education Committee of the Quad Cities. As a seventh grade student, his essay, “A Flame of Hope – The Legacy of Dr. Ralph Troll” took first place and was read during the annual Yom Hashoah-Holocaust Remembrance Service.
