Blue Grass Student invited to dance in Ballet Quad Cities – Cinderella

For the first time ever – students have been invited to dance in Ballet Quad Cities.  One of the nine selected students is from our school, Blue Grass Elementary.  Gabriella S. (a third grade student) will be performing in the ballet Cinderella.  This will take place in April, at the Adler theater in Davenport.  She will also be performing at the Paramount, in Cedar Rapids. The 2013 Fun Night Theme = The Great Carnival. 5-8PM.

Please donate cans of pop & cakes in disposable containers (Cakes must be brought to school on Friday, March 8th).  Fun Night Basket Donations: Here are this years classroom basket themes and ideas for donation items… feel free to be as creative as you wish.

Health Reminders for Parents

Now that school has started again, it’s only a short time until cold and flu season begins. It’s important to remind children of habits that can help them stay healthy year round.

1. Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough.
2. Wash your hands frequently using soap and water or handsanitizer.
3. Avoid sharing cups and eating utensils with others.
4. Try to eat enough fruits and vegetables.
5. Get enough rest.
