    Community Responds to District’s “Shoes for Students” Shoe Drive
    ...Davenport Community Schools recently asked the community to help out with shoe donations for students in need, and the response was overwhelming! The district reached out with its request for shoes through flyers, email, school and district web sites, news coverage on KWQC-TV, and an appearance on “Paula Sands Live.” Over 500 pairs of shoes were donated by DCS families, staff, and community members. The Parent Portal and Translations pages are no longer located with the rest of our Quick Links; they are now listed more prominently, below the slideshow.     Stepping Stones 2015-16 Registration Begins July 6th!
    ...Registration for 2015-16 Stepping Stones after school programs opens on Monday July 6th, 2015. All forms are available in the Stepping Stones office at 318 E 7th Street, Davenport, or online at www.davenportschools.org/steppingstones. In order to register, all registration paperwork, a $25 registration fee, and one month prepayment is required.     Davenport Community Schools Expands Google Apps for Education
    ...The Davenport Community Schools will expand the outreach and impact of its Google Apps for Education services for high school students beginning fourth quarter of the 2014-15 academic year. This expansion will allow sharing of resources from around the world including file sharing and classroom connections. Grades 3-8 will still participate only in internal sharing and resources limited to district staff and students.
