What/Who: High School Summer School is for credit recovery only, for students that have previously failed a high school course. The program used is an online program called Edgenuity and is staffed with qualified teachers and paraeducators to support students through the course content and with the online platform.
Where: On-site at Mid-City High School, following COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. There is a possibility that restrictions may result in summer school being conducted entirely online.
When: July 6- August 7, 2020, Mondays through Thursdays (no class on Fridays). There are two sessions held per day, one from 8:00-10:00 and the other from 10:00-12:00.
How: Counselors and administrators may refer a student to summer school based on their knowledge regarding the student and their academic standings. Parents may contact their child’s school counselor or administrator via email if they have questions about this.
Sections are limited on space, please submit all requests by June 15. All staff referrals and summer school requests are not guaranteed and are pending administrative approval. Parents/guardians and students will be contacted regarding the decisions for admission into summer school.
