Youth Mental Health First Aid is a free 8 hour course that will prepare you to be even more supportive to our students as they experience struggle with mental health crises, substance use challenges, or when their lives are more chaotic than usual. This training is open to all DCSD staff!
By learning to recognize the signs of mental health distress in others and knowing how to communicate effectively with those experiencing difficulty, we can be part of an immensely impactful intervention. Moreover, if these issues are identified early, we can increase the likelihood of both the short term and long term success of our students.
