Your Voice Matters

Dr. Robert Kobylski, Superintendent | Achievement Service Center | 1702 N. Main St. | Davenport, IA 52803 | Voice: 563-336-7407

October 30, 2019

This coming Tuesday, November 5, 2019 is your opportunity to have your voice heard in the Davenport General Election.

While your vote decides the outcome of Mayoral and City Council races, it also solidifies the members of our community who will be seated on the next Davenport Community Schools Board.

The Davenport School Board provides leadership and direction to improve the overall learning environment in our classrooms, schools and district, and directs and supports actions, programs, and activities which reduce the impacts of poverty on our students, their families, and our community.

If you’re still unsure of who will receive your vote, please utilize the Candidate Forum resources available through KWQC to learn about each candidate’s position on a variety of issues that will affect the Davenport Community School District and our students in the coming months and years.

Those selected to our next Davenport School Board must be willing to roll up their sleeves and work as a team to bridge challenges with ideas and solutions that will benefit our students, schools and community.

I encourage everyone to exercise their civic right to vote this coming Tuesday, November 5, including many of our Senior students who will be voting for the first time.

Vote for the future of Davenport, for our schools, and for our children.
