North High Students Make Ofrendas for Día de los Muertos

North High’s Spanish 3 classes recently made ofrendas, or altars, for the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. The altars are a way to remember and honor loved ones who have passed away. The students made altars for their favorite celebrities who have passed away, including items that represented them when they were alive and items to help them in the afterlife. Celebrities that were honored included Selena, Robin Williams, Jesus, Frida Kahlo, and many others.
