Buffalo Elementary’s FarmBot is Up and Running!

Student works with FarmBot

Last November, Buffalo elementary began work on their “FarmBot” project – a CNC farming machine that can plant seeds, measure soil moisture content, and water crops. Over the winter, West High students pitched in by assembling and calibrating FarmBot, and students from Mid City High helped out by building the raised garden beds and benches for students to sit on. Everything was installed this spring, and we’re happy to announce that FarmBot is up and running! KWQC created a feature video on the project to show how FarmBot helps Buffalo students explore technology integration in agriculture. Check it out here: http://www.kwqc.com/video?vid=484575811
