West STEM Students Pitch Kenya Water Filtration to State Leaders

West High Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) students traveled to Des Moines to interact with colleges and pitch their water filtration system for Kenya as part of the Governor’s STEM Council’s STEM Day at the Capitol. The students were invited to showcase the INSPIRE Academy project with the goal of updating Iowa lawmakers on Iowa STEM and to showcase hands-on, interactive, and student-focused learning innovations from across the state. Read more about the STEM Day at the Capitol here.
