Central Students Study Iterative Process and Goldfish Behavior

Students in Ms. Campbell’s and Ms. Gassner’s Central High science courses recently worked on their team building skills and understanding the iterative process. In their Earth and space class, students were challenged to build similar structures with different materials, which opened up candid conversations about fair versus equitable (pictured above left). Ms. Gassner’s class took on a similar project by building roller coasters. In their first unit of study, Central High Honors Biology students studied the behaviors of goldfish and their mass changes when placed in water with different salinities (pictured above right). They recorded and analyzed data to determine if goldfish were good osmoregulators.
