Central High hosted Andrew O’Dwyer from Carlow County, Ireland, on December 15th. Andrew is on a student exchange at St. Ambrose studying English and history with the intent of teaching high school in Ireland. Davenport Sister Cities maintains a relationship with the Twin Towns of Carlow County and is supporting O’Dwyer’s visit, including educating on local organizations and destinations. Central High was selected for the scope of their foreign exchange programs and the reputation of their award-winning Advanced Placement coursework, including in English and history. Many thanks to Ms. Wurdinger, Mr. Duvall, Mr. Flaherty, and Ms. Keck for supporting the visit and representing the school as an international model for Advanced Placement coursework!
