On November 2nd, eight West High Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG) students, Chris Cash, Ryne Schroeder, Austin Manley, Morgan Beatty, Eliyah McBunnette, Mariah Martinez, Dakota Tello-Goossens, and Jenna Nguyen (pictured above right), attended the Leadership Development Conference in Des Moines, meeting with other iJAG officers from across Iowa to learn about their programs and exchange and develop leadership skills. West High and Ottumwa Alternative are teaming up to lead the state in the donation drive for the JAG program in the Virgin Islands that was hit by the hurricanes earlier this year. West iJAG students also recently volunteered to paint pumpkins and make Halloween masks with Silvercrest Assisted Living Community residents (pictured above left).
