On August 30th at Northgate Plaza in Davenport, more than 50 Marine Corps (USMC) and Army JROTC cadets were on hand for the Honor Flight dinner attended by approximately 100 veterans in advance of the 41st Honor Flight of the Quad Cities trip to Washington, D.C., the following day. Cadets were present to honor the outstanding military veterans who have served our country. The USMC JROTC cadets formed two single squads that the veterans passed through to be honored with a salute and gratitude for their service. The US Army JROTC provides a four-cadet color guard clad in formal dress uniforms each year. The band from Sudlow Intermediate School played the appropriate anthem for each military branch.
