Graduation cap and diploma Davenport Community Schools will hold three high school graduation ceremonies on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the iWireless Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline, Illinois. Central High School 11:00 a.m. North High School 1:30 p.m. West High School 4:00 p.m.

Eisenhower Students Celebrate Year of Letters with RSVP Volunteers

Eisenhower student and RSVP pen pal For the last four years, Ms. Spotten-Martinez’s fourth-graders at Eisenhower Elementary have participated in a pen pal program with Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers. After exchanging letters throughout the year, the pals met to celebrate a year’s worth of fun and rewarding work.

Fillmore First-Graders Celebrate Reading with Family Event

Fillmore student enjoying a book outside with an adult Fillmore Elementary first-graders held a Reading Party Family Event for themselves and their families. At the party, students showed off their reading skills to family and friends, and then everyone enjoyed a special treat.

North Student Starts College at University of Iowa While Still in High School

Keishanique Moton Tyler campus photo North High sophomore, Keishanique Moton Tyler, has been accepted into the Bucksbaum Early Entrance Academy at the University of Iowa. This Academy is a prestigious program for academically gifted and talented students who choose to start college early. Starting with the Fall, 2017, semester, Keishanique will live in the dorms and attend class at the University of Iowa as a full-time college student while finishing up her high school graduation requirements.
