West Launches New CNA Program

On April 11th, West High’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, part of the INSPIRE Academy, became official as the ribbon was cut by students and community dignitaries. This program was made possible by Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, Genesis Health System, and Scott Community College. Principal Jenni Weipert opened the ceremony, followed by brief speeches by Davenport School Board President Ralph Johanson, President and CEO of Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce Tara Barney, Chief Marketing Officer of Genesis Health System Ken Croken, and Eastern Iowa Community College Dean of Concurrent Enrollment and CTE and Blong Tech Center Director Dr. Daniel Marvin.
