Fillmore Elementary is using virtual reality as a new and engaging way of learning. Virtual reality allows students to build background knowledge about a topic tied to what they’re learning as they travel on virtual field trips, including to the Grand Canyon, Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Rushmore, and Statue of Liberty. The students are thrilled with this new learning experience provided by a Scott County Regional Authority grant, and they ask to use it time and time again.
