Davenport High School Students Attend Symposium and Visit University of Iowa

Students learning at college visit and symposium

Central High Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG) and Future Teachers Club students (pictured top), along with North High students (pictured middle), attended the fourth annual World of Work Symposium at the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency, which was presented by QC United in partnership with the Stanley Foundation. Students interacted with professionals from a variety of career fields, heard a presentation from Eco-Warrior Hannah Alper, attended breakout sessions, learned about different careers, participated in a college fair, and ended the day listening to keynote speaker, Randy Moore. In addition, the Future Teacher Clubs from North, Central, and West High visited the University of Iowa, enjoying a campus tour and participating in a question/answer session with current Center of Diversity & Enrichment students (pictured bottom).
