Davenport Community Schools is proud to announce the launch of a new S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) lab at Buffalo Elementary School with the start of the 2016-2017 academic year!
With this new lab, Buffalo teachers are integrating S.T.E.A.M. into the curriculum, enhanced by a learning environment where the furniture and technology fully support the curriculum and offer the opportunity for personalized learning. The lab allows students to solve real-world problems in a collaborative environment. Students are exploring robotics, software engineering, coding, mechanics and structures, circuitry, scientific data/analyses, alternative energy, computer graphics, and digital media arts. This new learning environment provides an opportunity for students to discover a wide range of applied technologies that provide real-world learning experiences, and may lead them to a career in the future.
