Welcome to a new school year! One of the exciting changes coming to the Davenport Community Schools for the 2016-2017 school year is the district’s move from its current analog phone lines to digital VoIP. VoIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol and is commonly pronounced “voyp”. VoIP is a communications technology that allows voices to be transmitted over a digital network using the same protocols as the internet. There are new opportunities coming to our schools with this change and the district will save money, too. The biggest change for families will be that the phone numbers at our buildings will change this school year. To learn more about what this change will bring us and download a list of the new phone numbers go to Changes in District Phone Numbers 2016-2017.
