Truman Raises Nearly $4,000 for Heart Research

Truman Elementary participated in the Jump Rope for Heart Community Service Learning Program, raising $3,995.32 for the American Heart Association. The Jump Rope for Heart project teaches the importance of developing heart-healthy habits, including that being physically active can be fun. The funds raised will help fight against heart disease by supporting cardiovascular research and education to help save lives here and across the nation. Students who collected the most enjoyed “silly stringing” Truman’s principal, Mrs. McMeekin, in front of the entire school.
