School Board Approves Last Student Day for May 29th

Calendars and Events

The Davenport Community School Board voted on Monday night to finalize this school year’s schedule to set the last day of school for students as Friday, May 29th. This date reflects the new state law that allows school districts to use a 1,080 hour schedule instead of 180 days. The change allowed districts to “bank” hours for bad weather. Students K-12 will fulfill their 1,080 hours on May 29, so they will not have to make up one of the weather-related cancelations from this school year. All staff is still required to report for a regular day of duty on June 1 and all staff except Paras on June 2.

Below is the revised schedule for the final week of school:

May 25, 2015
No School – Memorial Day

May 26, 2015

Senior Finals Schedule

May 27, 2015

May 28, 2015

May 29, 2015

A.M. – 3rd and 4th Block High School Finals

June 1, 2015
