Great Minds Trip to the Putnam STEM Zone

This year, thanks to the Great Minds program of the Davenport Schools Foundation; all Davenport Schools 6th graders are attending the newly designed STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program at the Putnam Museum.  While there, they investigated many components of the science curriculum, including: law of physics, forces and motion, gravity, momentum, heat and temperature, light and optics, mass, fluids, electricity, simple machines, and speed and acceleration! Students are able to interact with many hands on activities while also observing and making inferences about the world around them.
