Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG) students from Kimberly Center High School, James Salkil and Alathea Wilkins, and North High students Brittany Teel and Ashley Brown travelled to the Iowa State Capitol in support of iJAG. Students learned about the power of the youth voice in influencing the decision-making of state legislatures. Students shared with their legislators how iJAG had impacted them personally at their school. In turn, the students were able to learn and have an opportunity to witness the legislative process in action and the impact of citizens in the process. Great work students!
