The Northside Establishment, North High School’s varsity show choir, won Grand Champion for the sixth consecutive year at the Fort Madison High School’s “Stars in the Spotlight” invitational on March 2, 2013. The group also received the Best Vocals caption award and Jared DeFauw, a junior, was chosen best male soloist. Center Stage, North’s prep group, was 1st runner-up in the prep division. Northside Establishment has made the finals at each competition it has attended this year and Teria Litman, a senior, was recognized as best female soloist at three separate competitions.
