Walcott Teacher Librarian Visits Holocaust Sites

Terri Toppler, teacher librarian at Walcott School, participated in the Holocaust and Jewish Resistance teachers summer seminar in July 2012. Toppler, along with a group of 26 other educators from across the United States, visited Holocaust sites in Israel, Germany and Poland, including a number of the death camps. The group also heard accounts from Holocaust survivors and scholars. The goal of the program is to advance education about the Holocaust in U.S. secondary school classrooms by deepening educators’ knowledge the Holocaust.
